He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Mildred F.; and his brother Stan Lee Voelkel. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Womack (Alan) of Jerseyville, IL, William Voelkel (Amy) of Worden, IL and Jason Voelkel (Jill) of Broken Arrow, OK; his grandchildren, Samantha Merkle (Robert), Abigail Womack, Wade Voelkel, Austin Peach, Jocelyn Peach, Brendan Overton, Lane Voelkel, Mackenzie Edwards, Hayden Martin and Olivia Martin; his great grandchildren, Isabella and Penelope; his sister-in-law Ona Voelkel of Le Center, MN; and his close friend Sue Mercer of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
