It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Hillesheim of Belleville, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald F. Hillesheim; her son Mark Hillesheim; her parents, John (Marie) and Rodenmeyer; her siblings, Helen Schrauth, Eleanor Hartwell, Bernice Vickers, Dorothy Meinkoth, Ruth Lloyd and Jack Rodenmeyer (Arline); and her siblings-in-law, David (Wanda), Maurice, Jim Hillesheim and Gloria Hillesheim.
She is survived by: her children, Eric J. Hillesheim of Belleville, IL, Nancy Wagner (Rick) of Millstadt, IL and Richard J. Hillesheim (Gina) of Highland, IL; and her grandchildren, Hunter Hillesheim (Brooke), Holden Hillesheim, Heather Borah (Bryan), Joe Wagner (Kelsey Burrow), Zach Schantz (Kristin Gooch) and Michaela Stewart (Lucas). She is also survived by great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the charity of the donor's choice.
