The memory of Marquita Buss of Belleville, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on February 15, 2025 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband William F. Buss; her parents, William (Mathilda) and Rast; her sister Carol Madura (Gene); her son-in-law Eric Grimmer; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Buss (Sally), Jack Buss and Jim Buss (Helen Fowler).
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Vogt (Jay), Denise Calabra (Jon), Robert Buss, Julie Hodde (Jeff) and Susan Grimmer; her grandchildren, David, Nicole, Tony, Ryan Calabra, Josh, Justin Hodde, Kellie Lester (Jordan), Katie Vogt, Madison and Dylan Grimmer; her great grandchildren, Logan Monroe, Kenzie, Jace Greenfield and Kylan Lester; her brother William Rast (Bonnie); and her sisters-in-law, Betty Meder (Norman) and Mary Lou Buss. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, special cousins, and great friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (1706 W Main St, Belleville, IL 62226). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Vincent De Paul.
