He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd L. and Bessie M.; and his siblings, Penny Brown and Dan Conklin. He is survived by: his wife Joan A.; his sons, Michael Proffitt (Dian) of Belleville, IL, Allan Proffitt (Cathy) of Annieville, AR and Paul Proffitt (Carol) of Collinsville, IL; his grandchildren, Lucas Proffitt (Hillary), Joanne Donjon (Rick), Jeremy Proffitt (Megan), Jamie Proffitt, Ashley Proffitt, Tyler Proffitt, Corrie Proffitt, Elliott Proffitt and Hannah Proffitt; his brother Terry Proffitt (Karen); and his sister-in-law Maree Conklin. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; a sister.
