John Rensing Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2025, at the age of 81, John Rensing of Belleville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Rita; his grandson Henry Rensing; his sister Marilyn Haas (Larry); his sister-in-law Margie Haas; his father Oscar (Edna); and his parents-in-law, Adolph, Marie and Idoux.
He is survived by: his children, John Rensing (Sara) of Glen Carbon, Brenda Hampton of Belleville and Melissa Borik (Robert) of Belleville; and his grandchildren, Ben, Andrew, Noah, Oliver Rensing, Nicky, Alex, Allyson Hampton, Kaitlynn, Lauren and Robby Borik. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Henry Catholic Church (5315 W Main St, Belleville, IL 62226). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Althoff Catholic High School, to St. Henry Catholic Church, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or in the form of masses.
