He was predeceased by: his parents, James Payton Sr. and Laura Marie. He is survived by: his wife Joyce C. Bevirt; his children, Lesa Black (Richard) and Frank Bevirt (Michele); his grandsons, Maxwell Meredith, Alexander Meredith and Samuel Black; and his sons, Madison Bevirt, James Payton Bevirt IV (Erica), Jacob, Hunter, Logan, Landen and Cooper Bevirt. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Renner Funeral Home - Belleville (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society to the Dementia Society of America.
