Helen Schulte Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Schulte of Belleville, Illinois, born in Carlyle, Illinois, who passed away on December 11, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Michael J. Schulte; her father Edward F. (Elizabeth L.); her siblings, Edward Joseph Stevenson, Mary Stevenson Linke, Betty Stevenson Buentgen and Bernice Stevenson Ash; her son-in-law David Bruss; her brothers-in-law, Joe Allen Ash and Kent W. Linke; and her granddaughter Becky Kinzel.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara S. Bruss of Hecker, IL, Jane M. Kinzel (Barry) of Smithton, IL, David S. Schulte (Nancy) of Belleville, IL and Mary E. Mueller (David) of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren, Susan Lanter (Randy Daming), Melissa Yaugo (Orrie), Tracie Kloeppel (Douglas), Jason Kinzel (Julie Becker) and Gene; her daughter-in-law Judy Schulte; her brother Nicholas Stevenson (Jackie); and also, Kenneth Schulte (Amanda Gahn), Benjamin Schulte (Amy), Derek Schulte (Nick Babiarz), Joseph Mueller (Sarah), Justin Mueller (Shelby), Christopher Bruss, Debbie Schauchner (Don), Michael Bruss (Amanda), Laura Wilson (William), Joseph Bruss, Nicholas Bruss (Brittan), Amy Rector (Howard), Tammy Kenniston (Mark), Ginny Golden and Kelly Katricka Edwards. She is also survived by 36 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church (200 W Harrison St, Belleville, IL 62220). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made in the form of masses or St. Peter's Cathedral.
