He was predeceased by: his father Rayford Cooper; his wife Elaine Cooper; his daughter Donisha Harris; his mother Hattie Johnson; his brothers, Isaiah Cooper and George Nicholson; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Hartley and Rick Cunningham.
He is survived by: his son Gene Westfall; his siblings, Mary Cooper, Martha Miller, Ruth Ward (Trydarrell), Elizabeth Cunningham, Naomi Brown (Robert) and Enoch Cooper; and his close friend Lisa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and grandchildren.
