She was predeceased by: her husband Roland A. Sternau; her son Steven Sternau; her grandson Scott Mueller; her parents, Gustav A. (Erna) and Ladewig; her sister Norma Wambergue (Norman); and her nephew Kevin Wambergue.
She is survived by: her children, William Sternau (Christine) of Belleville, IL, Alan Sternau (Violet) of Belleville, IL, Catherine Mueller (Steven) of Swansea, IL, Margaret Hoffmann (James) of Swansea, IL, Joseph Sternau (Elizabeth) of Belleville, IL, Mary Beth Anheuser (Kurt) of Lebanon, IL and James Sternau (Lisa) of Swansea, IL; her niece Laura; and her friends, Sheryl and Rose.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220). A prayer was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BJC Hospice or to St. Vincent De Paul at P.O. Box 3415 East St. Louis, IL 62203.
