He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Neal and Minnie Neal; his spouse Clare Neal (Wolff); and his siblings, Mark Neal, Charles Neal, Minnie Lou Piercy, Freeman Neal and Barbara Neal.

He is survived by: his brothers, Dewayne Neal (Diane) of Ina and Don Neal of McLeansboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
