With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Colleen Richards of Belle Rive, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Marie (Finn) and William Eugene "Gene" Orrick; her parents-in-law, Noel and Golda Richards (Browder); her grandson Eric Jeffrey Richards; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Richards, Iris Richards (Marlow), Carole Ann Richards (Tucker) and Russell L. "Pete" Clark.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Alan Richards; her children, Dawn Winkler (Richards) and Jason Richards; her grandchildren, Morgan Lusby (Michael Allison) of Mount Vernon, River Winkler of Belle Rive, Andrew Richards, Sydney Richards of Texico and Lin Winkler of Belle Rive; her great grandchildren, Mi'lea Allison and Maddox Allison of Mount Vernon; her daughter-in-law Lindi Richards (Tate) of Texico; and her sister Betty Laur (Jerry). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home (1314 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may go to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
