With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice G Brands (Beecher, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Braun and Gertrude Braun; her husband Marty; and her in-laws, Martin, Bertha Brands, Marcella Kidwell (John), Leona Brands, Garneta Ralston (Edgar) and Kenneth Zyk.

She is survived by: her children, Linda (Scott Fredrick), Laura (Peter Liphardt), Marty Brands and Chris (Candis Brands); her grandchildren, Paul, Rachel (Ben), Peter Jr. and Jacob; and her sisters, Diane, Betty (Don) and Joanne (Joe). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Peace Lutheran Church (640 Oak Park Ave, Beecher, IL 60401-5114). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

You were one of the first to welcome us and we looked forward to our chats. We instantly formed a bond and enjoyed a few lunches together at a local restaurant. You always ended our visit with a hug and said "I love you" We certainly will miss you dearly. Our only regret, is we wish we had met you sooner.
