It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolores O Schmidt of Beecher, Illinois, born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, who passed away on May 15, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Oldenburg and Barbara Oldenburg (Watson); her son Mark Schmidt; and her brothers, Clayton Oldenburg, Orville Oldenburg and Albert Oldenburg, Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Martin Schmidt Sr.; her sons, Martin Schmidt, Jr. (Terri) and Randall J. Schmidt (Dawn); her grandchildren, Andrew Schmidt (Toni Jo), Ashley Nestlehut (Andrew), Abby Collins (Mikel) and Maxwell Schmidt (Tiffany); and her great grandchildren, Lila Schmidt, Ellie Schmidt, Memphis Schmidt, Molly Nestlehut, Rosie Nestlehut, Annie Nestlehut, Wells Nestlehut, Mason Collins and Lily Collins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to APEX Hospice-the hospice agency which provided exceptional care in her final days.
