She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Holloway and Judith Holloway; and her husband Maurice Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Dale Johnson (Nickolina) of Beecher, Don Johnson (Mary Jane) of Lake Mary, Paul Johnson of Westerville, Ohio and Dorothy Bortscheller (Ron) of Orland Park. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Mary Elaine Johnson Neuro-Oncology Research Fund, Hospice of the Calumet Area, or Bear Necessities Pediatric Foundation in support of Seth Bortscheller.
