He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Taphorn and Elva Taphorn (Shaffer); and his brothers, Lawrence and Robert Taphorn (Bettie). He is survived by: his brother George Taphorn; his niece Mindy Taphorn; and his nephews, Warren Taphorn and Gerald Taphorn (Mariana).
