He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilia Holthaus, and Louis Holthaus, Sr.; his siblings, Robert Holthaus, Florence Hammer (Clarence), Victor Holthaus, Lucille Holthaus, Edward Holthaus, Richard Holthaus, Paul "Punt" Holthaus (Janet), Kathryn "Dolly" Holthaus, Andrew Holthaus and Elizabeth "Bettyann" Brueggemann; his father-in-law Norbert; and his nephews, Robert "Bobby" Holthaus and Kyle Holthaus.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Holthaus; his children, Bryan Holthaus of Beckemeyer, Christopher Holthaus of Beckemeyer and Dani Huels (Rodney) of Carlyle; his grandchildren, Rhiley Holthaus, Louis Baker, Vincent Huels, Catherine Huels and Devin Szczeblewski; his siblings, Julius Holthaus (Kathy "Toots") of Bartelso, Emler Holthaus of Beckemeyer and Virgil Holthaus (Peggy) of Beckemeyer; and his siblings-in-law, Gertrude Holthaus of Beckemeyer, Edna Holthaus of Beckemeyer, Gene Brueggemann of Highland, Lois Holthaus of Breese, Janet Huelsmann (Paul Rolfingsmeier) of Breese, Ron Huelsmann (Margie) of Trenton, Ed Huelsmann (Nancy) of Breese, Norma Knebel of Carterville, Steve Huelsmann of Breese, Gerald Huelsmann (Nancy) of Breese and Laurie Brandmeyer (Matt) of Bartelso. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
