She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Boester and Betty Boester (Niermann); her sister Linda Payne; her parents-in-law, Denver and Clara Thurston; and her sister-in-law Vivian Alvis.
She is survived by: her husband Galen Thurston; her children, Julie Bruggemann (Duane) of St. Rose, Allen Thurston of Beckemeyer and Crystal Kahre (Eric) of Carlyle; her grandchildren, Megan Bruggemann (Andrew Hagen), Erin Bruggemann and Colton Kahre; her brothers, Robert Boester (Elaine) of Centralia and Michael Boester (Carrie) of Rochester; her siblings-in-law, Ann Hendershott of Marble Hill, Marsha Hinson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Wesley Thurston of Walnut Hill; and her stepmother Laverne Boester of Dittmer, Missouri. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
