She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Strake and Virginia Strake; her husband Norman Brown; her son Danny Edward Brown; her sisters-in-law, Rosie Strake and Irma Landolt; her nieces and nephews, Karen Jansen, Carla Hilmes, Jeff Smith, Mary Catherine Smith and Terry Strake; and her great-nephews, Cody Sidwell and Trent Smith.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Cindy Hazelip (Mark); and her siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Smith of Breese, Dan Strake of Breese and Bucky Strake (Doris) of Breese.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (525 S 3rd St, Breese, IL 62230). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Parish or St. Anthony Parish and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
