She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Gross and Kate Gross (Fauke); her children, William E. Simonton and Judith M. Horan; her husband William F. Simonton; her sons-in-law, Stephen Johnson and Ken Bach; her grandson Todd Johnson; and her siblings, Mildred, Leona Gross, Viola Kruep McBride and Edward Gross.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie S. Johnson of Marion, IL and Jo Ann Bach of Makanda, IL; her children-in-law, Richard Horan of Delmar, NY and Cheryl Forth (Ron) of Centralia, IL; her sister-in-law Betty Sutton of Visalia, CA; her grandchildren, Lyle Simonton (Jenny) of Smithton, IL, Lori Barkley (Jim) of Nicholasville, KY and Patrick Horan (Lily) of Darien, CT; and her great grandchildren, Samantha Johnson of Grand Rapids, MI, Alyson Johnson (Isaac Collins) of Springfield, IL, Emma Johnson of Crystal Lake, IL, Will, Sydney Simonton of Smithton, IL, Brynn, Katie Barkley of Nicholasville, KY, Harrison and Emilia Horan of Darien, CT. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, gifts and other customary remembrances, memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony's Church in Beckemeyer, or the American Lung Association and will be received at church or at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
