He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Butler and Maxine Butler (Patterson); and his brother Larry. He is survived by: his spouse Joan "Elaine" (Burwell-Lessen); his sons, Brian Brown (Tonjau) of Colby, KS and Troy Brown (Jodi) of Goodland, KS; and his siblings, Ricky Butler (Diane) and Arlene Wolfe. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
