He is survived by: his sons, Leslie "Les" Richert (Theresa) of Lincoln, IL and Kenneth "Ken" Richert (Karen) of Beason, IL; his grandchildren, Kathie Williams (Jim), Jennifer Shaffer (Scott), Cathy O'Donohue (Todd) and David Vale; his great grandchildren, Alexis Richert, Kaycee Bernhardt (Chris), Ashley Bonaparte, Shaylyn O'Donohue, Nathan O'Donohue, Lacy Vale, Jordan Vale, Savanna Shaffer, Rachael Williams and Katie Williams; and his great great grandchildren, Chesnee June Bernhardt and Harmony Bonaparte.
Memorials may be made in John's name to Zion Lutheran Church.
