With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Irene Thompson of Beardstown, Illinois, born in Greenfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 8, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ancle Sonneborn and Lela Smith Sonneborn; her husband Myron L. Thompson; and her siblings, Doris Dewey, Robert and Tom Sonneborn.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jason Harwick (Jessica) of Wadsworth, OH, Corinda Launer of Beardstown and Rachel Thompson of St. Louis, MO; her great grandchildren, Kaelyn Harwick of Columbus, OH and James Harwick of Wadsworth, OH; her sisters, Mary Sue Shanks of Jacksonville and Jane Johnston of Quincy; her close friend Ruth Ferguson of Jacksonville; and her sister-in-law Mary Deaton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
