He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Hartwell and Viola "Bub" Lawson Lancaster; his grandparents, Warren Lawson, Emmy Lawson, Leslie Lancaster, William Bell and Mabel Bell; and his brother William W. Lancaster.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Thorp-Lancaster of Beardstown; his sons, Michael Edward Thorp-Lancaster (Summer) of Rolla, MO and Daniel Morris (Laura Sanchez); his grandchildren, Leslee Boyce, Billy Boyce, Colin Thorp-Lancaster and Milo Thorp-Lancaster; and his brothers, Morris Lancaster and Donny Lancaster.
