She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter William and Laura Lucinda Wilcox Pherigo; her son James Lawrence Mayes, Jr.; and her siblings, John Ray, Betty Joyce Pherigo, Sandra Pherigo Park, Nancy Pherigo Stout, Mary Pherigo Armstrong and Billie Jo Pherigo.
She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Mayes of Beardstown; her daughters, Angela Lynn Mayes Barfield (Kevin) of Jacksonville and Rebecca Dawn Antle (Kris) of Missouri; her grandchildren, Dalton Coil (Jamie), Desiree Coil, Jenah Heller and Tayler Sinnock; her great grandchildren, Raelynn and Aiden; her siblings, Linda Krems, Karen Brewer, Sherry Roope, Debra Knouse (Roy), Judy Smith (Mike) and Robert Pherigo; and her nieces and nephews, Billy Lee Armstrong, DJ Pherigo, Travis Pate and Tari Pate.
