He was predeceased by: his parents, Cairl Cooper and Eileen Patterson Cooper; his wife Jalene Jay Brunke; his pet Missy; and his grandparents, Roy, Edna Patterson, Elwood and Geneva Cooper.
He is survived by: his friend Julia Barron of Pittsfield; his siblings, Jenny Jackson (John) of Portland, OR, Nancy Steffen (Ron) of Beardstown, Peggy Miller (Gary) of Macomb, Tom Cooper of Springfield, Joe Cooper of Springfield and Pat Cooper (Tami) of Beardstown; and his close friends, John and Kaye Hardwick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
