It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Franklin Spoon of Beardstown, Illinois, who passed away on February 5, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold D. Spoon and Mary Wessel Spoon; his son Troy Spoon; and his siblings, Jeanne Mathis, Marsha Brooks, Pamela Smith and Larry Spoon.
He is survived by: his former wife Pamela Stephens; his wife Pam Spoon of Beardstown; his daughter Tami Jo Cooper (Pat) of Beardstown; his grandson Justin Cooper (Liz); his great grandchildren, Alex and Wyatt Cooper; his grandchild Kelsie Riblet (Chuck); his great grandchildren, Brayden and Brynn Riblet; his grandchildren, Jay Cooper (Mel Peterein) and Sonna Egbers (David) of Quincy; his great grandchildren, Garin and Myla Egbers; his daughter-in-law Mona Spoon of Palatine; his granddaughter-in-law Samantha Spoon; his brother Kevin Spoon (Debbie) of Rushville; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jazilyn, Travin and Inde Ham; his great-niece Bridgette Dunlap; his sister Glenna Lyons (Jack); and also, Karissa Ham (Andy) and Taryn Dunlap. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
