He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Bottens and Fern Schertz Bottens; his wife Donna Bottens; his grandson Charlie Carter; and his brother Wayne Bottens.
He is survived by: his former wife Virginia Turner; his daughters, Julie DeSollar (Kevin) of Rushville, Mary Carter (Randy) of Belton, MO, Bobbie Picornio (Juan) of Beardstown and Lisa Bottens of Pflugervile, TX; his grandchildren, Andrew DeSollar (Ashley McCabe), Candice Gomez, Dustin Allen (Ashley) and Kaitlyn Haschemeyer (Jon); and his brothers, Ronald Bottens (Joanne) of Alton and Robert Bottens (Connie) of Cambridge. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
