He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Smith and Luella Smith; his siblings, Evelyn Smith LaBelle (William) and Melville Smith (Joy) of Waukegan; and his daughter Marilyn Luttrel McFarland.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn R. Lippincott Smith of Beach Park, IL; and his children, Doyle Currington (Carolyn) of Winthrop Harbor, IL and Lisa Hallwas (Brian) of Beach Park, IL. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Congdon & Co Funeral Directors (3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
