She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Opal and Alma Opal (Cramer); her brothers, Art Opal, Harry Opal and Howard Opal; her former husband James Umfress; her son Duane Umfress; her caregiver Margarita Casarrubias; and her pets, Libby and Ginger.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Umfress, Brad Umfress, Brent Umfress and Jodi Rice (Al); her grandchildren, Zachariah Rice, Jeremiah Rice and Ariana Rice; her great grandchildren, Ashton, Phoenyx and Lennox; and her sisters, Rose Pankratz, Eileen Lile (Don), Nancy Carbis (Mike), Charlene Snider and Carol Bachler.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family for a future fund in honor of Shirley.
