We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2023, Shirley R. Michael of Beach Park, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sullivan and Cecelia Sullivan (Busser); her husband John Michael; and her siblings, Jack Sullivan, Johnny Sullivan and Lorraine Kretschmer.
She is survived by: her children, John Michael (Josette), Christine Corbett, Patrick Michael and Jean Tews (Ed); her grandchildren, Jessica Corbett, Aaron Corbett, David Michael (Stacy), Doug Michael (Niki), Daniel Michael, Nathan Tews (Tina), Neil Tews (Kim) and Sarah Marcelain (Jordan); her brother Billy Sullivan; and her caregivers, Adrianne, Arlene, Daniel, Deb, Janice, Josi and Shirley. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Shirley was very active in her community as a volunteer worker, president of IAM Senior Retirees Club and RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church in Beach Park, IL or to Alzheimer's Association.
