She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jackson and Linnie Jackson (McKinnie); her husband Louis McCarley; her grandchildren, Thomas O'Rear and Matthew Royce; and her great grandchild Nicholas O'Rear.

She is survived by: her children, Louis R. McCarley, James R. McCarley (Sue), Patricia O'Rear (David), Stephen J. McCarley (Loretta) and Jennifer A. McCarley; her grandchildren, Jason McCarley, Brian McCarley, Jolie Hook, Aaron McCarley, Marcus McCarley, Brad Royce, Leah Royce and Barnaby Royce; and her siblings, Cullen Jackson of Filmore, IL, Evonne Flaherty of Kenosha, WI and Margie Carter of Decatur, AL.. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
