With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Van Hoogen of Beach Park, Illinois, born in Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2022 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delford Hoogen and Mary Van Hoogen; and his sister Rosemary "Toots" Liebert. He is survived by: his wife Kim Van Hoogen (Beskow); his children, Danny Van Hoogen (Megan Gehrig) and Jamie Van Hoogen (Mike Thibodeau); his granddaughter Rosemary "Tootsie" Thibodeau; and his siblings, Terry Shebenik (Eddy) and John Van Hoogen (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Kim was a match and donated a kidney to him and added another 22 years to his life.
