She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Richardson and Versie Richardson (Creason); her son John Paul Thomas; and her siblings, Joe Richardson, Ann Boyer (Doc), Leroy "Chubby" Richardson, Curtis Richardson and George Richardson.

She is survived by: her husband James Thomas; her daughters, Betsy Griffith (Eddie) and Becky Conway (Paul Tart); her grandchildren, James Griffith, Brandon Griffith (Kayla), Frances Griffith, Jack Snow, Dena Conway and John Conway; and her great grandchildren, Claira Newcomer, Olivia Conway, Lily Ann Johnson and Abigail Griffith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made in Geraldine's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
