He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Harris and Leo Hecht; his stepfather Adelbert Dahn; his wife Carol Wharton; his daughter Kathy; his son-in-law Bill Sohn; his son Keith; his stepson-in-law Timothy Conkling; his grandchildren, Josh Sohn, Kelly Sohn and Thomas Conkling (Sarah Olsen); his great grandchild Collin Van Der Karr; his siblings, Pattie Dahn Quandt, Marty Hecht Nielsen and James Hecht; and also Edward Joerns. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
