It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert John Rodgers (Batavia, Illinois), born in Farmington, Illinois, who passed away on February 6, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Rodgers and Ethel Rodgers; his wife Lois Faye Rodgers; and his grandson Geoffrey Robert Rodgers. He is survived by: his children, John Robert Rodgers (Susan) of Western Springs and Janet Rodgers Nickols (Tom) of Lake Geneva; his grandchildren, Sarah Colomb (Alex), Matthew Rodgers (Talia), Anne Streeper (Austin), Katherine Nickols (Nathan McGrath) and Thomas I. Nickols; and his great grandchildren, Maxwell, Caden, William, Beckett, Emerson and Wyatt.

“Dear rodgers family; the “greatest generation” just lost another; bob epitomized greatness with his love of country and family. I have so many wonderful memories. A typical ski day at vail - after skiing, back to the condo for popcorn, off to alpenrose for maybe some schnitzel, to the library in sonnenalp hotel for an adult beverage (frangelico), back to the condo for “dice”; discussion of illini basketball results and finally bed. Fun wonderful times.”
