He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Matthias Lewis Merges (Rachel Crowl), Lewis (Julie), Peter (Nicole), Andrew (Angela) and Adam (Andria); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Allison, Gretl, Tatum, Wynn and Ryann; and his siblings, Louise Scalet (Ken), Joan Odorizzi (late John) and Thomas (late Susan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
