With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene M. Murphy of Batavia, Illinois, who passed away on June 13, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Swedish and Agnes Johnson (Hanson); her husband James A. Murphy (Jim); her brother Weldon Johnson; her sons-in-law, James Swoveland and Daniel Nippert; and her granddaughter Whitney Molsen (Nippert).
She is survived by: her children, Jay (Julie) of Geneva, Jalene Swoveland of Conyers, Georgia, Joel (Diane) of Bloomington and Jill Nippert of Geneva; and her grandchildren, Joseph Murphy, Breda (Adam Marshall), James Murphy (Brandi), Glenna (Dave Daughtery), Joshua Swoveland (Charla), Taylor Swoveland, Jared Murphy (Samantha), Jason Murphy (Katie), Jaclyn Murphy, Ashley (Rob Yoggerst) and Kelsey (Rod Hilton). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and many other dear relatives and friends.
