We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2024, at the age of 69, Leona Leslie Schmidt of Batavia, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Olmstead and Edna Olmstead (VanderWater); and her siblings, Paul Olmstead and Pam Keszeg. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Cooper, Tracy Cooper (Jon Karbel), Ashley Schmidt and Wesley Schmidt; her grandson Caleb Cooper; and her sister Marilyn Challand. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moss Family Funeral Home - Batavia (209 S Batavia Ave, Batavia, IL 60510). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
