Lawrence F. Kalkstein Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence F. Kalkstein of Batavia, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kalkstein and Helen Kalkstein (Toff); and his siblings, Joanne Gebhardt and Beverly Mauser. He is survived by: his children, John Kalkstein (Leticia), Mike Kalkstein (Randee), Robert Kalkstein, Carol Silkes (Lance), Kathleen Sherman (Tom) and Joseph Kalkstein; and his siblings, Diane Sciana (Andy) and Don Kalkstein (Ann). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (324 E State St, Geneva, IL 60134). A wake was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 7:45 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St Peter Catholic Church (1891 Kaneville Rd, Geneva, IL 60134).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 5501 N. Cumberland Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60656 would be appreciated.
