He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Nyberg and Barbara Nyberg Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Carol Schaffenacker; his children, Scott Nyberg (Lori) and Stephanie Rolf (Dan); his granddaughters, Kate, Addison, Reagan Rolf, Autumn and Natalie Nyberg; and his brothers, Leonard and John Nyberg.

“I am so saddened to learn of Jim's passing. My family was friends with the Nybergs in the late 50's. I remember when Mr. Nyberg died. He was such a wonderful man. Jim and I used to go on adventures together. He was so much fun. If I had known he was still in the area, I would have contacted him. My condolences to his family. My maiden name was Kurtz.”
