It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Hope of Batavia, Illinois, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on November 2, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hope and Kathleen Hope (Mules); and his brothers, Larry and Bob Hope. He is survived by: his wife Marie Hope (Costa); his children, Chris Pawlak (Ray) of Geneva, James (Stephanie) of Geneva and Stacy Wells (Tom) of Batavia; his grandchildren, Kiley, Sami, Matthew Pawlak, Rachel, Katie, Tim, Craig Hope, Danny, Mia and Joey Wells; his brother David (Deborah) of Santa Rosa, California; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce and Colleen Hope of California. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main Street, Batavia, Illinois 60510.
