He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Carlson and Mildred Carlson (Stone). He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Werner) of Batavia; his children, Lisa Nelson (Keith) of Batavia, Greg Carlson (Sally) of Batavia and Karen Ebner of Batavia; and his grandchildren, Elyse Poe (Logan), Brooke Harrigan (Derek), Lauren Carlson, Ryan Carlson (Kallie), Erich Ebner, Reid Ebner (Danielle) and Drake Ebner. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
