He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford and Martha; and his child Helen Tiliakos Carpenter. He is survived by: his spouses, Helen Tiliakos and Lauri Loebel Carpenter; his children, Diane Carpenter Pullara (Michael), Dana Carpenter (Mike Amerine), Stacy Carpenter Bella (Greg) and Chris Carpenter (Ann); and his uncle Don. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Don's name may be made to; American Heart Association, American Lung Association or The Batavia Food Pantry.
