He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Allan Richard and Catherine Richard; his wife Linda; his sons, Allan and Adam Richard of Batavia; his grandson Alexander Richard; and his brother Brian Richard (Kathi) of Cincinnati. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Batavia VFW Post 1197, 645 S. River Street, Batavia, Il. 60510.
