She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smith and Juanita Smith (Tucker); her husband James; her sons, James "Rusty" and John Akin; and her sister Rose Ann Genovesi (late Joseph).
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Michelle, GiGi and Luigi; and her great grandchild Alessandra. She is also survived by many cousins; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.
