With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alma Jean Carstensen of Batavia, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 19, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John and Pearl; her husband Arthur "Bud" Carstensen; and her siblings, Bernice Zalesiak and John Donnelly.

She is survived by: her children, Lydia Schonback, John "Jack" Carstensen, William "Bill" Carstensen and Michael Carstensen; and her grandchildren, Nichole Swanson, David Schonback Jr., Ben Carstensen and Kyle Schonback. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
