He is survived by: his wife Ingrid Bruns of Basco, IL; his son Casey Bruns (Rebecca Trimble) of West Point, IL; his grandchildren, Maya Bruns, Ethan Bruns and Grayden Bruns; his siblings, Junior Bruns (Kaye), Keith Bruns (Connie) and Betty Peters (John); and his brother-in-law Jens Brammer.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Printy Funeral Home (405 Cherry St, Carthage, IL 62321). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery (968 N Co Rd 1900, Carthage, IL 62321).
