He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Zahner and Mary Zahner (Kullman); and his brother Theodore Zahner. He is survived by: his children, Julie Roberts (Jim) of Peoria, William Zahner Jr. (Jody) of Deatsville, AL and Theresa Blackburn (Phil) of Bartonville; his grandchildren, Jerrad Zahner (Haley), Kayleigh Oates (Chad), Matthew Blackburn (Kim) and Ryan Blackburn (Jobi); his sisters, Lois Spillman and Mary Abernathy (Ron); and his caregivers, Joni, Nami and Buffy. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to Traditions Hospice of Peoria.
