He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann; his brother James Hattermann (Sandy); his sons, Dennis Hattermann (Janet) of Valdosta, GA, Andrew Hattermann (Linda) of Peoria, IL and Joel Hattermann (Jenni) of Bartonville, IL; his grandchildren, Brandon Hattermann (Megan), Elizabeth Amiot (David), Joshua (Stanzi), Alan (Jaclyn), Ozzy, Ian and Marie Hattermann; and his great grandchildren, Luke, Adam, Gunnar, Alice Hattermann and Daniel Amiot. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
