He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Matzke; and his grandparents, Marvin, Esther Matzke, Fred and Edith Dickinson.

He is survived by: his father Daniel Matzke of Mapleton; his sons, Mace and Miller; his brother Chris Matzke (Christi); his nieces and nephews, Ayden and Abbie; and also Michelle Matzke (Zach Jacobson) of Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mace and Miller Matzke's Educational Fund care of Wells Fargo Advisors.
